Abstract
Depiction of violent crime rates by county from 1990-1999. Violent crime refers to four offenses: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. Rates are per 100,000 persons. Rates are calculated using the population estimate for the year of the reported crimes.
Purpose
This datasets is made available to interested persons through the University of Arizona's instance of Open Geoportal. It has been provided to assist educators, students, researchers, and policy makers in mapping and/or analysis applications.
