- This polygon layer contains buildings, sites, structures, objects, and districts that have been placed on the National Register of Historic Places in recognition of their importance to American history, culture, or archaeology. National Register designation means that changes to these places must be reviewed if federal or state funds, permits, or licenses are used.
- Purpose
- This layer was created for general use by the Cambridge Historical Commission (CHC) and for public distribution. Created for reference purposes as a digital companion to the hard copy National Register atlas kept on file by the CHC.
