- Abstract
- This map data layer represents the 2-foot interval topographic contour lines for the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
- Purpose
- Contour data can be used to determine the topography at any location in the City. The data can also be used for 3 dimensional modelling of the City terrain. These data are intended for researchers, students, and policy makers for reference and mappng purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. Data may be useful for earth science analysis, topographic reference or display and analysis of terrain elevations.

- Horizontal Positional Accuracy Report
- Color aerial photography at a scale of 1" = 400' was captured on March 29, 1995 for the subsequent development of base map data. Forward lap was 80% 2%. Sidelap was a minimum of 30% . Crab was less than 3 degrees when measured with respect to any two successive exposures. This data comprises contours at 2 foot contour interval. Topographic data was prepared through the use of Photogrammetric methods from aerial photography dated March 29, 1995. This information meets ASPRS Standards for 1"=100' Class 1 Map accuracy. Control Points: The plotted position of each control point shall lie to an accuracy of one-hundredth (1/100) of an inch of its true position, as expressed by the State Plane coordinate for that point.
