- This coverage contains points that describe centerpoint locations of and primary commodity produced by oil and gas fields. A fundamental task in the assessment is to map the locations and type of production for existing oil and gas fields.
- Purpose
- The purpose of this map is to depict the general location of the oil and gas fields. This dataset is not global. The oil and gas field centerpoints are a general representation of the number, distribution, and location of oil and gas fields.
