Census Hydrographic Features, 1995 - Alaska

Description:
This datalayer displays the hydrographic features for the state of Alaska. This category includes shorelines of all water regardless of the classification of the water itself. Predominant features represented in this layer have Census Feature Class Codes (CFCCs) of: H01 (Shoreline of perennial water feature); H11 (Perennial stream or river); H12 (Intermittent stream, river, or wash); H70 (Nonvisible water area definition boundary; used to separate named water areas and as the major category when the minor category could not be determined). The Feature Name attribute further identifies water bodies as rivers, reservoirs, creeks, branches, forks, etc.
