The historical New Jersey Geological Survey Atlas Sheets were scanned and georeferenced using ArcView 3.2a Image Analysis extension and ERDAS IMAGINE software packages. The georeferenced atlas sheets are in the New Jersey State Plane Coordinate System, NAD83.
Purpose
The historical geological map can be used in Geographic Information Systems to analyze historical information.
