CHGIS Xinjiang 1876 Points is a point theme representing towns, mountains, lakes in Xinjiang from Hami west across the Tian Shan Range and north across the Junggar Basin to Ulugur Lake; digitized from H.M. Prezhavalsky "Map of Central Asia" 1876. Developed by Irina Merzliakova (Inst of Geography) and Alexei Karimov (Inst for the History of Science), Russian Academy of Sciences
Purpose
