This is a scanned version of the 1779 paper map entitled: A Map of North Bahar. The map was scanned at 300 dots per inch and is in the TIFF format. Thanks to Prof. Frances Pritchett, Columbia University, for providing the original paper map for this scan.
Purpose
Scanned maps may be used for a variety of purposes. This image may be used in a GIS; the dataset includes a .txt file containing a table of coordinates that may be used to aid in georeferencing the image; to use the coordinate table make sure that the data frame is in the WGS 1984 projection, then open the link table from the georeferencing toolbar, then select the load button, then navigate to the accompanying LINKTABLE.txt file.
