Frost-free Period (line) is a polyline theme representing areas of similar duration of frost free periods.
Frost-free period is the period when minimum air temperatures near the ground are above zero degrees Celsius so frost does not occur. The duration of the annual frost-free period is one of the principal climatic characteristics that affects the development of biota, human life, and economic activity.
Purpose
For educational, non-commercial purposes. This dataset is appropriate for use in a GIS.
