- Land Use is a polygon theme representing land use areas worldwide. The distribution of land use on the continents shows the relationship of land uses to the natural, social, and economic conditions of various regions. The maps show the main types of land uses such as arable land, perennial crops, grazing land, forest, unproductive land, and their various combinations, as well as protected areas.
