Barcelona Orthoimagery is a set of digital orthophotos representing Barcelona, Spain. The dataset is comprised of eight tiles; the photos were taken in 2005 and have a 60 centimeter resolution. The tiles may be downloaded through the Barcelona Orthoimagery Index, a polygon layer that serves as an index for the orthroimagery tiles. The index can be downloaded through the link below, the URLs needed to download the tiles is embedded in the attribute information the index.
Purpose
Orthophotos serve a variety of purposes for both display and analysis. This dataset is for non-commercial research purposes only.
Supplemental Information
To download the orthoimagery files using the Barcelona Orthoimagery Index in ArcMap, download the layer through the link below, add the layer, open the layer properties dialog, select the display tab, and check the "support hyperlinks using field" box while selecting the URL field in the dropdown menu. Then use the hyperlinks tool to select the polygon representing the desired tile. The street centerlines layer is included with the download to this file, that can be used with the index to aid in identifying the needed tile.
