    <abstract lang="eng" displayLabel="Abstract">Land cover of west Placer County is a polygon feature describing vegetation, vernal pool complexes and urban areas. The data was created on behalf of Placer County by Jones and Stokes in 2003. The data was derived and digitized from earial photographs, field verified areas in some cases and existing available data. This layer is part of a collection of public geospatial datasets produced by the Placer County GIS Division.</abstract>
