This line shapefile displays the surface trace of earth fissures mapped by the AZGS, as well as reported, unconfirmed earth fissures within study area boundaries software. Earth fissures study areas are depicted in a separate file. These earth fissure data were prepared by the Arizona Geological Survey in accordance with Ariz. Rev. Stat. 27-152.01(3). Purpose
This datasets is made available to interested persons through the University of Arizona's instance of Open Geoportal. It has been provided to assist educators, students, researchers, and policy makers in mapping and/or analysis applications.
